Hello World — My Journey to Financial Independence

I have been working as a professional for the past 10 years and feel fortunate to have a loving wife and young children. I am also the sole breadwinner for my family.

Over the past few years, I have started to realise that health and stamina are not infinite — especially as you move beyond a certain stage of life. There comes a point where you begin to think more seriously about long-term sustainability and what an “exit strategy” might look like.

Like many people, I know the traditional route is to build wealth through pensions and long-term savings. However, I also value flexibility and the potential for greater growth than what conventional approaches may offer.

This led me to explore the idea of passive income and alternative income streams. However, I quickly realised that there is no truly “passive” income in most cases. Nearly all income streams require significant effort upfront, and only then — if things go well — do they begin to generate meaningful returns.

And even then, success is never guaranteed.

The purpose of this blog is to document my personal journey towards financial independence. It is both a form of accountability and a way to stay focused on my long-term goal: building financial security for my family in an increasingly uncertain economic environment.
